WHO ARE WE?
ABOUT ME
Hello friends! My name is James; I love and am passionate about dogs—so much so, I started my own dog walking business, Barker Pawsse, in 2017.
As a Certified Professional Dog Walker (CPDW Certification through Veronica Boutelle’s Dog Biz), I continue to acquire science-based dog training and education by completing courses in the Karen Pryor Academy and Fenzi Academy programs. With a strong focus on positive reinforcement (R+) I can identify, anticipate and find solutions to any health and safety issues and even training solutions (with a collaboration and partnership with a Certified Professional Dog Trainer) that can help dogs under my care, thus, creating a safe and fun environment. I’m not just walking your dogs, but I also work with them on basic manners, impulse control, leash reactivity throughout our walks.
My dog walking philosophy is centered in service and how I can be of maximum service to you, your family, household, and to your pet, thus, relationships are core to my service. I’m super grateful to the relationships I have built throughout my years of service in this business. This promotes safety, reliability, stability, and peace of mind. Unlike bigger dog walking companies or app-based services, your dogs won’t be walked by strangers or experience changes in their routines because of the high turnover rate in the industry. You’ll get me from the moment we do a meet-and-greet and to the daily walks I get to do with your pet.
Let me take this one off your to-do list today, so you can enjoy more time with your friends, family and your #goals. And at the end of the day, you’ll have a dog that’s well socialized, activated, and happy.
Why Barker Pawsse, James?
What sets me apart from bigger dog walking companies out there or even app-based services is that you know the person that you contacted off this website is going to be the same person walking your dog. On top of that, I specialize in smaller groups (four dogs total in my group versus six-to-eight even to ten(!) with other businesses #yikes #chaos), so I can give more individual attention, care and training to your dogs while ensuring their safety within the group dynamics and to people, places, and things we might encounter during our walk. I also work with dogs that may be a challenge for most dog walkers a.k.a. project dogs.
Because of the smaller group setting, I am able to manage, anticipate and rely on my training to make sure that Fido gets the maximum benefit for my services while also having fun.
